Discovering small businesses is always exciting, but it's even more so when you realize that they produce amazing fabric, have a great eye for detail and give back to the society. I am very fortunate to have been gifted a couple of pieces from the amazing work collection to showcase. Project 925 is focused to making work wear less blah, boring and unimaginative. The Barbells Shift Dress is my favourite piece. I believe there is nothing more versatile than a little black dress and this beautiful number is perfect. Here is why ... It is amazing fabric quality; thick enough for the winter but sturdy enough to wear to the office without fear of being too casual. It has these beautiful gold details at the shoulders and a gold detail at the back for a little something extra. Now, can you see how versatile it is? I can wear this to the office (and I am a tall girl, so anyone shorter is golden) and it will transition to a dinner date, bar night or work drinks fabulously. Most of all, it has POCKETS. Yes ladies, you all know there is nothing more amazing than finding a dress with workable pockets. It is the holy grail of designs.

How to wear it: That beautiful blouse in your wardrobe that seems too much for work? It isn't. You can wear it underneath this sleeveless number; Summer time, ditch the layers; Too cold, throw a jumper (sweater) under or over; winter season, wear those boots or tights; spring/summer, show some leg; meeting, throw on a blazer and if overfed, rest assured it was hide you food baby :-)
