Last week, I wrote a post about going to Granville Island in Vancouver. The public market was amazing but what made it even more special was my outfit. Spring and Autumn (Fall) can be difficult to dress for because the weather can be temperamental. Midi dresses are honestly the way to do and luckily they are definitely in season. Find links at the end of this post for the petite, tall, slim and curvy.

Long denim dresses are not seen very often and that is why this amazing find from Zara was a no-brainer. I had to go into 3 different stores to try it on before buying it. It is long enough to ward off a chill, sleeveless to keep you from overheating and has a belt for those who need a little help showing their feminine wiles. The only downside is the length - I am 5ft7inches and this was almost too long.

Keeping in with the spring/summer trend, I got these beautiful simple affordable fabric bow slides from ASOS. I follow some trends but when I think things won't last for long, I don't like spending a lot of money and these were the perfect holiday pair. Burnt orange - not too bright and not too dark.

The soft fabric bucket bag is another holiday favourite. It is light, packs very well - can be folded like a piece of clothing and can carry an incredible amount. Unfortunately, this bag is no longer available, but here are some favourites - links below

I almost forgot about my straw hat. It was an impulse buy from DSW from the Men's section and it has served me so well. Lesson to learn - do not be afraid of the male section of the store. You will be amazed at what you find. Bonus points for DSW - there is almost always an offer on their website and you get rewards if you are a member when you buy an item.
