Thanksgiving is over, black Friday sales are almost over and everyone is starting to put up decorations. Its officially Christmas season. I am super duper excited even though I am certain I will be working through the holidays. However, I have my recent holidays to look back on with happiness.

My second day in Edinburgh spent exploring the castle. Getting to the castle was a task in itself. My heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest as was I walked up this lovely GENTLE hill. Yes I huffed and puffed with no energy to blow anything down (cheesy) even though I like to think of myself as fit. The 15 minute walk was totally worth it and the firing of the one o’clock gun, a tradition dating back to 1861 could be heard as I walked unto the grounds. The castle was impressive albeit much smaller than I thought it would be and the stories were fascinating. Seeing the crown jewels was probably the highlight of my visit but alas, taking photos were forbidden. The sunset was magnificent and my day ended with a trod down the royal mile to a local pub for Arcade Bar for a plate of Haggis (made of sheep’s unmentionables)

Of course the post wouldn’t be complete without my outfit details. I wanted to wear something warm but fashionable considering I spend most of my time in scrubs. The faux mini leather skirt came out to play. It’s so versatile, playful, and edgy and I love it. These knee - high boots (Over-The-Knee for those blessed with shorter legs) kept me super warm and this black and white playful bodysuit top  completed the look. Knee-high boots are great for the winter: they work with jeans, skirts, dresses and for several occasions: going out brunch, casual, and as work outfits for others.

Hope you all enjoyed Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Stay tuned for my final day in Edinburgh.
