THE EDGY SIDE OF CHIC

13:38

Practice makes perfect. Whilst I am not even close to perfect, I am definitely getting away from my camera awkwardness. Today’s outfit shoot was my favourite yet. It was an incredible day and with an even more perfect location. My able photographer and I wanted to take pictures with graffiti and I had to come up with an edgy/rock outfit to fit the theme ergo black booties, destroyed blue jeans and a simple black top. Of course I had to make it a little more feminine by having a topknot and wearing statement necklace. P/s - Any thoughts on the man bun aka male topknot?

The jeans were a last minute buy from the Zara summer sale. These are the perfect boyfriend slouchy comfort jeans. And those fake paint splatters… I love them!! They are my “milk/farmer’s market jeans”. I did realize I could dress them up too… add a pair of heels, makeup, and jewelry and you can turn a few heads J

I have “rocked” these boots already so much and they are worth every cent. Friday night – adding these boots to any outfit makes them work. I usually wear them with jeggings/treggings and a pretty top. In keeping with the edgy theme, these black booties are just perfect. In addition, the “croc” pattern with those buckles adds a little punk to it. Who thought I would love the edgy look so much? I just might try a bohemian look next.

To finish this look off, I wore this chunky necklace from Forever 21. I love the necklace coz its neither gold nor silver, neither is it any particular colour. You could wear it with so many different outfits. Of course, it wouldn’t be edgy without a pair of black sunnies… my Aldo babies.

Special thanks to my photographer as usual: Shannon Ann Lim for finding the location and taking so many pictures to get that perfect shot.

To make sure the blog has so “medic” to it, I shall add a little bit of random or common facts about medicine at the end of every post. It is only appropriate I begin with Obstetrics, as that is currently my rotation.
